Springwell Golden Voices

Springwell Golden Voices is a community choir, for older people, based in west-central Edinburgh, for all who enjoy singing. There’s no audition and if you don’t read music you’re still welcome!
We especially need more gentlemen who sing Bass to augment our current
five strong Bass section but we have a waiting list for Sopranos & Altos. (* See below for latest information about joining)

The above photo was taken on 19 December 2024 in Craiglockhart Parish Church at our annual Christmas Concert.

We are now rehearsing at Craiglockhart Parish Church which is on Craiglockhart Avenue.  Click for a link to a map
There is plenty of on street parking and the 4 and 36 buses pass the church.
We rehearse on Thursdays from 10:30 till 12:30  with a break at which we will provide tea or coffee and a biscuit.
If you’d like more information – whether you’re looking for a friendly choir to join, or you’d like to book us for a concert, we’d love to hear from you.

Our Musical Director is Jenna Martin (Click here to see Jenna’s bio) and our Accompanist is Mr Douglas Kerr.

We have now had our first rehearsal with our new MD Jenna Martin and we are excited with the programme she has drawn up for our Christmas Concert in December.  Some items we have not sung for several years and a 4 part song by Bruckner which may well challenge us which is good.

*  New Members
We currently have nearly 70 members and we would welcome anyone who wishes to join particularly if you are a bass or a tenor.
Click the Contact Us button above to send an email with your details and we will give you further information.
At present the Annual fee for Members is £180 which covers all music and your interval tea/coffee + biscuit. We prefer fees to be paid by 12 monthly instalments of £15 and where possible by Standing Order.
